Tyson Fury’s three best wins

Tyson Fury

TYSON FURY VS DERECK CHISORA

WON PTS 12
JULY 23, 2011
WEMBLEY ARENA, LONDON

The first of two bouts between the pair (who have since become good friends) with the same outcome, by different methods. Both men were 14-0 when they first met. Chisora had the better names on his record, courtesy of wins over faded former world title challenger Danny Williams and two victories over Sam Sexton. The Londoner held the British and Commonwealth titles, while Fury had endured a struggle in his first fight with John McDermott (he knocked out the rotund pugilist in their rematch) and had been built by Mick Hennessy on ITV.

The bout took place on Channel 5 and was entitled “The Big Brawl to Settle it All”. Chisora had not boxed in 10 months by fight night and came in too heavy at 261 lbs. It showed, as Fury used his jab and skills to neuter the lunging Finchley resident, and win on points. The pair boxed again in November 2014, and a listless Chisora was beaten to the punch in every round before retiring after the 10th round.
