Tyson Fury (25-0) is known as the Gypsy King and he was able to lay claim to four new crowns today when he defeated Wladimir Klitschko (63-4) via unanimous decision to become the heavyweight champion of the world.
Fury won what was a scrappy affair with scores of 115-112, 115-112 and 116-111 to take Klitschko’s IBF, IBO, WBA and WBO titles.
Fury, celebrated his victory in a jubilant manner singing Aerosmith’s "Don’t Want to Miss a Thing" and as ever, true to his faith, stated "I want to thank my lord and saviour Jesus Christ for giving me this victory."
Klitschko, who tasted his first defeat in 11 years said "I knew I needed a knockout at the end." The Ukrainian also stated that he will pursue the rematch stipulated in the contract and that he was not thinking about retirement at this stage.
