Many are convinced the upcoming WBC middleweight title fight between current champion, Saul “Canelo” Alvarez (46-1-1, 32KOs), and his challenger, Amir “King” Khan (31-3 19KOs), is a mismatch but former, undisputed cruiserweight and heavyweight champion, Evander “The Real Deal” Holyfield, feels it will be a fantastic encounter.
Khan, who will jump up two weight divisions to square off against Canelo, is widely regarded as a massive underdog in the clash but Holyfield feels it bears all the hallmarks of a great fight.
“Although Khan has to gain some weight to face Saul, and people are saying that it’s an uneven fight, I think we will see a great fight because of the speed of Khan, who also throws good punches – and because Alvarez also has a great punch,” said Holyfield.
Canelo and Khan will face off on May 7th at the new T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. Tickets are available now at www.sportscorporation.com.
