IBF light welterweight champion, Cesar Rene Cuenca (48-0), will attempt to equal the 49-0 reached by Floyd Mayweather Jr and Rocky Marciano when he squares off against IBO light welterweight champion, Eduard Troyanovsky (22-0).

Cuenca vs. Troyanovsky is scheduled to take place on the undercard of Povetkin vs. Wach at the Basket-Hall Arena, in Kazan, Russia on November 4th.

Cuenca’s resume is littered with domestic opponents, he has rarely travelled outside Argentina and as such is relatively untested at the highest level. Cuenca won the IBF crown via a unanimous decision in July 2014 and will make his first mandatory defence when he meets the undefeated Troyanovsky.
