Four division world champion, Adrien Broner, will square off against the former world champion, Omar Figueroa, in a WBC super-lightweight final eliminator, on April 21st, at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.
Broner will be looking to return to winning ways after losing a twelve round decision to Mikey Garcia in July 2017.
Figueroa, on the other hand, will be looking to continue his excellent form after securing a comfortable win over former world champion, Robert Guerrero.
Broner hopes to put an end to Figueroa’s winning streak, before rejuvenating his career by avenging his losses to Mikey Garcia and Shawn Porter.
“I’m trying to outshine everybody — I have to go crazy. I have to rematch Mikey [Garcia], I have to fight Shawn Porter. This fight [against Figueroa] is the start of the turn-up. I’m ready, let’s get it on. He’s [Figueroa] undefeated, and I’m trying to give him his first loss,” Broner said.
