Super Lightweight contender, Josh Taylor, and former World Champion, Viktor Postol exchanged words for the last time before their WBC World Title Eliminator at The SSE Hydro, in Glasgow on Saturday.
Both men will enter the contest brimming with confidence, Taylor looking for this first world title shot and Postol hoping to reclaim the title he lost to Terence Crawford.
Josh Taylor: “It’s the biggest step up of my career so far.” said Taylor. “I’m one hundred per cent confident in my ability, and I’m ready to go on Saturday. I can’t wait to go in there and prove a point, and show that I belong among the best in the world.”
While ‘Iceman’ Postol seemed confident and focused on the surface, he is well aware of the threat posed by the ‘Tartan Tornado’.
“I am looking forward to fight night now,” said Postol. “It is great for me to have the chance to get back to the top of the division with a win, and I am determined to become a world champion again. I have fought in many big fights, and even though I know it will be tough, I believe I have what it takes to beat Josh Taylor.”
