Petrov to conclude training camp in Madrid

Flanagan vs Petrov

Petr Petrov has returned to Madrid to make the final preparations for his world title fight with WBO Lightweight Champion, Terry Flanagan on April 8th.

Keen to give Flanagan his first loss as a professional, Petrov is cutting no corners in his training camp as he proved on his birthday this week when he had two intense training sessions.

“I am so focused, and I can’t wait for this fight,” said Petrov. “There is no time for parties and cake now. That will come after the fight, as I will have plenty of reasons to celebrate, one would be my birthday, and the other will be for winning the World Championship.”

Petrov and Flanagan will headline an exciting card, which will feature the mouthwatering super-welterweight domestic showdown between bitter rivals – Liam Smith and Liam Williams. Also on the card; Nicola Adams will make her professional debut, as will former Team GB star, Daniel Dubois.

Tickets for April 8 priced £50, £70, £100, £150, £200, £300 and VIP £500 are available from eventim at www.eventim.co.uk and 0844 249 1000 and the Manchester Arena at www.manchester-arena.com and 0844 847 8000.
